You swam the sea of very average photographers fighting for your booking. And you’ve heard enough horror stories to avoid the low-cost ‘bargains’… good for you!
But what about unique style? Can Adelaide wedding photographers match the calibre of those in bigger cities. Is it all traditional, conservative, gag-worthy stuff of yesteryear? Hell no!
We’ve done the research for you. The following legends laugh in the face of mediocrity. Here’s 8 of the absolute coolest wedding photographers in Adelaide.
Dan Evans Photography
Dan Evans is as popular as he is handsome. Definitely the kind of looker you want at your wed. His style is unconventional, fun and mildly-inappropriate. He likes his couples on the unconventional side, and ‘not afraid to get wet’. Also he has a sweet af ’78 vintage telecaster, so we’re pretending to be his friends until we can steal it. In addition to the images below, you can see more weddings from ze vunderul Dane Vans on his website and insta account.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Tattoos and pink hair in a dreamy golden field…
WHY WE LOVE IT: These two radsters started their wedding in a library and ended at Africola.
WHY WE LOVE IT: As locals, we go nuts over cool Kangaroo Island weddings (hey, we know that beach!)
Alexis is the cute face behind the lens of Goldlight Photography. Three of her favourite things are alpacas, a panini in Florence, and “That feeling when you put a hand outside the car window in a wavy motion against the wind, preferably while listening to a great song”. Damn straight, Alexis. Damn straight. Buy her an espresso martini and you might just convince her to join you for an epic adventure wedding on Kangaroo Island – we’d be up for that too. In addition to the images below, you can stalk Goldlight weddings on her website and insta account.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Puppies! And sparkly dress. And pink suit. And converse.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Love in a laundromat, rockin’ a floral frock, hipster heaven!
WHY WE LOVE IT: Because destination wedding channelling Priscilla meets vegas-style elopement.
Kate Pardey’s photography pops with bold colours and wicked couples and we are totally spewing that she’s not taking any future Adelaide bookings at this stage. What a great loss to the SA wedding scene! We’ve included her anyway for some great wedspo. And even though you can’t bribe her to photograph your wedding, you can still appreciate her photographic magic on her website and insta account.

WHY WE LOVE IT: A confetti-filled circus love fest in a warehouse with pink party hats.

WHY WE LOVE IT: Jessica Clark channels a Wes Anderson meets 70s rockstar vibe for this cool couple
Alex Kwong (aka The Kwongster as of right now because we like it) is humble and polite and ridiculously good at wedding photos. His style is colourful, organized and very rock’n’roll, and we approve 100%. His mum thinks he’s a good boy who “puts his family first but likes strange/loud music”. We think he’s heaps great, maaaaate. In addition to the images below, you can stalk The Kwongsters’ weddings on his website and insta account.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Alex Kwong shot this epic wedding featuring a painted Tiff Manuell wedding dress.

Love Fool Photography
Maddie is the doll face you need to reach out to at Love Fool Photography. She’s got good taste in couples and walls, that much we know. We’re looking forward to getting to know her better, but in the meantime you can take a look for yourself – reckon her photos speak pretty clearly of her fun style. In addition to the images below, you can stalk Maddie on her website and insta account.
WHY WE LOVE IT: No cool couple’s wedding is complete without the Naked Tiger plush shag jacket.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Because if you can sum up your personal style in a wall, you damn well should.
WHY WE LOVE IT: A bride in converse, tattooed ankles, adventurous destination weddings.
Tim Day is a deadset legend in our books because, first and foremost, he’s the only wedding photographer we know of who discovered the awesome wharf shed backdrop wall on Kangaroo Island! He’s also into making jam, eating cheese and watching docos, so we’re pretty sure we should move in with him. Buy him a good craft beer and a pizza, and he’ll shoot your wedding funtimes fo shiz. In addition to the images below, you can stalk Tim on his website and insta account.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Because more Kangaroo Island wedding porn. This one against our favourite boat shed.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Kuitpo weddings are always grand. Plus the groom is a way cooler hipster than Fidel.
WHY WE LOVE IT: No, we will not get over it. Adelaide weddings are better with radelaide murals.
Gold and Grit Photography
Ok, full disclosure, this legend does not live in Adelaide, but she does service the region if you know what we mean. *high five* Sorry, seriously, her name is Stina, and she is frickin’ incredible. We’ve had the luxury of working with her multiple times and we are madly in love. Her husband describes her as a “salty little caramel”, her mum describes her as “a woman of speed and wind”. If you want sequins, glitter, adventure, confetti, smoke bombs or just the best gal to fall in love with, you need her. She’ll travel anywhere in SA, including Kangaroo Island of course. In addition to the images below, you can and should stalk Gold and Grit weddings on her website and insta account.
